Job Description
Director of Finance owning accounting, reporting, forecasting, and controls for Visual Matrix, a hospitality technology company. Partnering with the CEO and ASG finance organization to scale SaaS operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Visual Matrix's senior-most internal finance resource and own the company's accounting and finance operations
- Own monthly close, general ledger, financial reporting, billing, cash management, and recurring accounting processes
- Manage budgeting and forecasting and maintain visibility into SaaS metrics and business performance
- Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to company leadership and ASG
- Improve financial controls, reporting processes, and finance systems using technology, automation, and AI-enabled workflows where appropriate
- Manage and coordinate outsourced accounting resources and external partners
- Partner with the CEO, company leaders, and ASG's broader finance organization on financial decision-making
- Continuously improve and document finance processes
- Assess existing finance processes and determine how to leverage internal systems, outsourced resources, and the broader ASG finance ecosystem
- Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer
Requirements:
- Strong accounting and finance experience, ideally within a B2B SaaS, software, or technology business
- Strong foundation in GAAP accounting
- Meaningful experience owning or driving month-end close and financial reporting
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, and churn
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on individual contributor
- Experience improving financial processes, systems, controls, or reporting in a lean or resource-constrained environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate financial information into clear, practical insights for business leaders
- Curiosity about technology and willingness to learn how AI and automation can improve finance workflows
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Humble, coachable, resourceful, and excited by ownership
- Remote within the United States, with regular travel for executive leadership meetings, strategic planning sessions, Board meetings, and company events
