Job Description

Director of Global Indirect Sourcing overseeing sourcing strategies and procurement initiatives for multinational company. Managing complex indirect spend portfolios and enforcing compliance across global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement global category strategies across key indirect segments (e.g., MRO, logistics, facilities, utilities, IT/telecom, professional services, HR services, travel, marketing, CapEx services).
  • Identify areas of synergy across sites and regions, and launch high-impact sourcing initiatives to achieve cost, compliance, and performance improvement targets.
  • Drive long-term value creation by integrating TCO principles, demand management, supplier innovation, and market insights.
  • Collect, segment, and analyze spend data from multiple ERP systems and regional data sources to build a unified global view of indirect spend.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive metrics packages covering spend, categories, suppliers, contracts, compliance, savings, inflation indices, and performance trends.
  • Lead global and regional RFQs, RFPs, eSourcing events, and commercial analyses.
  • Negotiate worldwide and regionally based agreements, ensuring best-in-class pricing, service levels, and contractual protections.
  • Enforce adherence to negotiated agreements across all global business units and sites.
  • Identify sustainability opportunities across indirect categories (energy efficiency, waste reduction, renewables, transportation emissions, circular sourcing).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
  • Proven track record managing large, complex, multinational indirect spend portfolios.
  • High proficiency with data analytics, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365, etc.), and procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, GEP, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated success securing global or enterprise-wide agreements.
  • Experience developing and presenting executive-level dashboards, business cases, and sourcing strategies.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and ESG-related supply chain initiatives.
