Job Description
Senior Manager leading procurement governance, supplier risk, and sourcing excellence for a North American building-products manufacturer. Implementing procurement tools, processes, metrics, and training across operating teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build, implement, and communicate best procurement practices and tools
- Develop, deploy, and maintain the supplier risk program
- Develop supplier relationship management processes
- Drive procurement governance, policies, processes, and tools
- Work with stakeholder groups to enable effective and efficient use of Strategic Sourcing procedures and operational tools
- Educate, train, influence, and drive consistent adoption of best practices across operating teams
- Lead implementation of supplier risk management processes and tools
- Design and lead initiatives to mitigate supply chain risks
- Develop a formal supplier relationship management program covering evaluation guidelines, selection, evaluation, risk assessment, quality, ongoing performance, and offboarding
- Design, implement, deploy, and maintain procurement processes and supporting tools
- Develop metrics to measure procurement effectiveness
- Develop strategic plans for procurement technology adoption, enhancements, and developments
- Manage authoring of procurement policies, procedures, SOPs, and work guidelines
- Develop and execute training for procurement and operations teams
- Standardize and consolidate procurement practices, policies, and compliance reporting
- Implement best practices where required
- Travel 15%-20%
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
- MBA preferred
- 10+ years supply chain, procurement or related experience
- Experience in leading procurement process and tool implementation
- Ability to lead through influence
- Proven track record of delivering tangible results in a matrix organization
- Proficient knowledge of procurement best practices and support systems
- Superior communication and influencing skills, with collaboration mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Expertise in operating Microsoft Office programs
- CPSM certification preferred but not required
- PMP certification preferred but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
