Job Description
Director leading product strategy and IT operations for Self Bill Pro’s employee benefits billing platform. Overseeing software development, cybersecurity, compliance, and helpdesk operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and operational execution of the proprietary software platform
- Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap with the global product manager
- Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch
- Gather and analyze user feedback
- Write detailed user stories and specifications
- Collaborate with the offshore software development team
- Provide technical oversight and guidance on product features, enhancements, and operational issues
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, security standards, and best practices
- Protect organizational data and systems
- Manage relationships with customers, investors, and internal teams
- Gather requirements, test ideas, and communicate product progress
- Work with the stateside operational team to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, helpdesk support, and rapid resolution of operational issues and hotfixes
- Report to the Chief Operating Officer
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a product management role
- Strong background in software development and project management
- Direct experience in the employee benefits or benefits administration technology space
- Ability to build software solutions and features for complex real-world problems
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing and collaborating with a global or offshore development team
- Practical knowledge of IT operations, helpdesk support, and cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance requirements highly desirable
- Leadership ability to inspire and motivate a team and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must answer whether employment visa sponsorship will be required
