Job Description

Leading Thermo Fisher Scientific’s EMEA Human Identification sales organisation. Driving regional sales strategy, channel performance and sustainable growth across forensic and genomics markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the EMEA Human Identification sales organisation and commercial strategy
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, growth and profitability objectives
  • Develop annual and longer-term sales plans aligned with market trends, customer needs and business priorities
  • Identify new markets, customers and geographic opportunities
  • Translate business strategy into clear sales priorities and drive execution
  • Provide market and competitive insights
  • Deliver regional objectives through forecasting, pipeline and opportunity management
  • Develop strategic account plans for key customers and opportunities
  • Build relationships with customers, distributors, channel partners and strategic stakeholders
  • Develop channel partners to improve market coverage, capability and performance
  • Support complex sales cycles, tenders and strategic customer opportunities
  • Champion the voice of the customer and strengthen customer experience
  • Attract, retain, develop and engage sales talent
  • Lead, coach and mentor the sales organisation
  • Build a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, engagement and customer focus
  • Develop team capabilities and succession plans
  • Manage commercial operating processes, regional expenses and performance management
  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Product Management, Market Development, Business Development, R&D, Service and Support
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations and standards of business conduct

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Business or a related discipline
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive sales and commercial experience with a consistent record of achievement
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Experience working across multiple countries and markets, ideally within EMEA
  • Strong strategic sales planning and commercial execution experience
  • Experience managing direct and indirect sales models, distributors and channel partners
  • Strong understanding of genomics and applied markets
  • Human Identification, forensic DNA or related workflow experience highly desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen across forecasting, pipeline management, strategic accounts and performance management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across a global matrix organisation
  • Strong customer, channel partner and industry/KOL relationship-building capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and leadership skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel across EMEA as required
