Job Description
GE Aerospace strategy director shaping government relations strategies across global growth markets. Supporting geopolitical analysis, executive recommendations, and operational transformation for the international relations team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP of International Government Relations and senior leadership to design comprehensive cross-business government relations strategies tailored to key global growth markets
- Conduct rigorous analysis of political, regulatory, and competitive landscapes in target markets
- Synthesize complex information from diverse sources into clear, executive-ready insights that inform strategic decision-making
- Work with the International Government Relations team to identify emerging geopolitical opportunities and risks in target markets and translate insights into actionable strategic initiatives
- Support the VP of International Government Relations in the FLIGHT DECK transformation of the International Government Relations team
- Support operational excellence of the International Government Relations team
Requirements:
- Significant in-house experience in a U.S. corporate environment, with demonstrated expertise in government relations, public policy, or related strategic functions
- Ability to deliver high-quality strategic recommendations and presentations under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations
- Strong ability to quickly assimilate new information about unfamiliar markets, regulatory systems, and political dynamics
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies in complex international environments
- Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Deep understanding of global regulatory landscapes and experience navigating diverse political systems
- Demonstrated success working effectively in highly matrixed organizations and building influence without direct authority
- Strong experience working in multicultural environments
- A Master’s degree
- Fluency in one or more languages in addition to English
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and ability to establish trust, credibility, and productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to synthesize complex information and develop data-driven strategic recommendations
- Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in learning about new markets, political systems, and business challenges
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgment and high-quality output in ambiguous and fast-paced situations
- Strong eye for detail, ensuring deliverables are accurate, polished, and high quality
