Job Description
Engineering Product Manager driving Cisco mobility, IoT, and 5G-to-6G product strategy. Leading product lifecycles, Edge AI initiatives, and strategic service-provider growth.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Product Lifecycle Manager for a Tier-1 U.S. service provider
- Drive the strategic roadmap through 5G-to-6G transitions
- Oversee product lifecycles, upgrades, and software releases for mobility, IoT, and emerging technology architectures
- Scale IoT and Edge AI initiatives
- Translate complex customer technology requirements into product specifications and execution plans
- Lead network evolution from current 5G deployments toward 5G-Advanced and 6G-ready architectures
- Identify and assemble growth opportunities in Edge AI, AI inferencing, and mobility infrastructure
- Align IoT Control Center business teams, mobility units, and Cisco product organizations around a unified service provider value proposition
- Build data-backed business cases connecting Cisco technology to measurable customer outcomes
- Engage senior customer executives and internal leadership to shape strategic positioning and communicate roadmaps
- Influence cross-functional teams and align collaborators across a large, matrixed organization
- Handle risks and navigate ambiguous environments with high autonomy
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product lifecycle management, solution architecture, service provider networking, mobility, IoT, or related technology domains
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience with mobility technologies and standards including 3GPP, LTE/4G, 5G, 5G-Advanced, and evolving 6G concepts
- Experience working with service provider networks, mobility solutions, or large-scale telecom infrastructure
- Experience supporting strategic customers and translating customer needs into product requirements and business outcomes
- Executive-level communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership, customer executives, and cross-functional collaborators
- Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and influence teams without direct authority
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Preferred: Experience working with Tier-1 U.S. service providers
- Preferred: Knowledge of Cisco mobility solutions, IoT Control Center, CMP platforms, or service provider SaaS offers
- Preferred: Understanding of AI RAN, Edge AI, AI infrastructure, AI inferencing, and network modernization
- Preferred: Experience building business cases, customer growth strategies, roadmap proposals, or commercial expansion plans
