Job Description
Enterprise Sales Executive at Kong developing growth strategies for cloud API solutions. Responsible for managing enterprise sales cycles and building customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to target enterprise customers
- Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
- Collaborate with internal teams for a seamless sales experience
- Identify customer pain points and deliver customized product demos
- Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives
- Lead account planning efforts to win new business
- Monitor and manage sales activities and results
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings
- Contribute to business growth initiatives
- Represent Kong at industry events and conferences
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales (>1k employees)
- Demonstrated success in selling to large enterprises
- Strong consultative selling skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A results-driven mindset
- Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- Knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills
