Job Description

Enterprise Sales Executive at Kong developing growth strategies for cloud API solutions. Responsible for managing enterprise sales cycles and building customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to target enterprise customers
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Collaborate with internal teams for a seamless sales experience
  • Identify customer pain points and deliver customized product demos
  • Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives
  • Lead account planning efforts to win new business
  • Monitor and manage sales activities and results
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings
  • Contribute to business growth initiatives
  • Represent Kong at industry events and conferences

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales (>1k employees)
  • Demonstrated success in selling to large enterprises
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A results-driven mindset
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills
