Job Description
Enterprise Inside Sales Representative selling IT hardware, software, and services for ePlus. Managing customer relationships, quotes, orders, margins, and strategic business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Research and quote sales opportunities for product and service sales while maintaining advantageous profit margins
- Increase sales opportunities with warranties, services, accessories and supplies
- Manage run-rate business, including pipeline updates, quoting, ordering, open-order management and post-order support
- Manage CRM entries for customer opportunities, engineering requests and contract requests
- Coordinate with engineering teams on bill-of-material design and validation
- Manage deal registration and negotiate pricing
- Engage customers to grow relationships, develop strategies and acquire new business
- Execute and manage customer orders through successful delivery
- Use customer portals for proposal requests, purchase-order confirmations and shipping information
- Compile mandatory contract reports
- Communicate with operations and procurement staff of key accounts, gauge satisfaction and compliance, and document performance results
- Maintain working knowledge of key products and services and create major-OEM configurations
- Stay current on vendor programs, promotions and campaigns
- Manage client issue resolution at customer and supplier levels
- Maintain professional communications with internal and external customers
- Build long-lasting business relationships and consistently achieve sales activity and deal-closure targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or AA with 5 years of professional experience is preferred
- 5+ years in the IT industry
- 7+ years of sales, business development or customer service experience
- Solid understanding of U.S. industries and the drivers of IT demands within them
- Ability to identify unique business opportunities within regional market segments
- Strong knowledge of IT solutions including data centers, servers, information networks, storage devices, communications equipment and services
- Superior communication and phone skills to facilitate complex IT conversations and close sales
- Ability to prioritize and record daily milestone sales activity and consistently achieve quota for outbound calls, completions, conversions, demos and monthly deal closures
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite and computer application skills
- Ability to perform sedentary work, with occasional lifting of 10–20 pounds
