Job Description
Field Associate Manager overseeing operational activities for agricultural insurance projects across Guinea. Leading field teams and ensuring reliable data collection while liaising with community stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data collection by planning, supervising, and monitoring field activities through a team of data collectors and supervisors.
- Ensure data quality by reviewing incoming data via internal applications and dashboards, and by resolving data quality issues.
- Recruit and manage the field team, including selection, assignment, coaching, and disciplining of data collectors and supervisors.
- Organize training sessions for field teams on data collection tools.
- Monitor field staff performance through data analysis, field visits, and established supervision tools.
- Support field operations by visiting sites to diagnose and resolve operational issues as needed.
- Organize client trainings, mobilization or awareness efforts, and workshops to support project implementation.
- Coordinate field visits with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, maintain up-to-date expense records, and justify all expenditures from approved budgets.
- Manage and resolve complaints from farmers and other stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication at all levels of the organizational chart and with external partners.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management to ensure the success of operational activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Agricultural Economics, Agro-industry, or a related management/business field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with clients, project teams, farmers, field teams, and agro-traders.
- Strong experience in data collection and data management.
- Proven experience managing teams and large numbers of enumerators (over 500 agents).
- Skills for interacting with clients, farmers, field teams, and agro-traders.
- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional, and multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work and communicate in French, English, and a local dialect.
- Intermediate spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) are an additional advantage.
