Job Description
Field Sales Representative driving Nestlé Waters and premium beverage sales across Long Island retail stores. Managing merchandising, promotions, distribution, pricing, and customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver sales for the assigned territory
- Develop relationships with store managers and retail personnel to achieve sales and long-term performance objectives
- Deliver retail value through sales, displays, new items, and core distribution
- Address out-of-stocks, inventory-to-shelf issues, share of shelf, price compliance, and promotional selling
- Partner with distributors and ensure product knowledge through in-person and phone communication
- Sell incremental volume for displays and maximize support for promoted products
- Sell promotional surveys for displays
- Sell additional products based on observed opportunities
- Collaborate with store-level and district-level retail operations personnel to create and execute business reviews that drive volume
- Manage financial resources responsibly
- Ensure compliance with retail pricing guidelines
- Report competitive pricing changes and promotional support and resolve competitive pricing issues
- Identify and correct voids and ensure new items are available
- Merchandise products for schematic compliance, stock shelves, rotate products, handle unsaleable products, and resolve out-of-stock and void issues
- Maintain customer relationships with department and store-level personnel to maximize sales results
- Communicate retail market insights to management
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Two or more years of retail sales, merchandising, or retail management experience with CPG products preferred (not required)
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other POS systems
- Ability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions, and/or other data to utilize appropriate selling techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel
