Job Description
Field Service Engineer installing, repairing, and upgrading Glory customer equipment across Limerick and surrounding areas. Diagnosing technical failures, coordinating service work, and supporting customer uptime.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment in the field
- Provide customer and internal training as required
- Investigate technical issues, warranty failures, and field failures
- Resolve technical issues efficiently and economically while keeping Product Specialists and Service Management informed
- Liaise with local Service Centres and partners to coordinate work and workload
- Plan and prioritise workload to meet business and customer needs
- Diagnose system problems and provide repair solutions while keeping customers informed
- Document system problems and preventative maintenance in customer site logs
- Gather and record machine information to monitor performance
- Complete machine installations, Engineering Change Notices, and hardware/software upgrades
- Recommend improvements to equipment service, reliability, and performance
- Escalate difficult technical problems to technical support
- Establish and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Perform additional responsibilities within the scope of the position and business demands
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar customer-facing environment working to achieve customer service levels
- High-standard mechanical competence
- High-standard electro-mechanical and IT competence
- Understanding of local Health and Safety regulations and ability to work within company guidelines
- Ability to represent the Company and develop partner relationships through trust and performance
- Flexibility and ability to prioritise, plan, and monitor own activity, performance, and progress
- First-class written and oral customer service and communication skills
- Logical troubleshooting skills and ability to isolate problems at PCB or component level
- Ability to work effectively with electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of AC/DC power distribution and digital/analogue circuitry
- Availability for on-call work on some weekends
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of personal computers, especially Microsoft Office, network-site navigation, and email communication
- Holder of a driver's licence
