Job Description
Field Service Manager leading field operations across British Columbia for electrical services company. Ensuring compliance, safety, and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and technician utilization
- Monitor key performance metrics (utilization, backlog, work-in-progress, and productivity)
- Support management of departmental budgets, labour costs, and job performance
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and client requirements
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with WorkSafeBC regulations and company policies
- Maintain strong relationships with clients through reliable service delivery
- Lead and supervise field technicians, team leads, and supervisors
- Support workforce planning and resource allocation in collaboration with the General Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in electrical services, power systems, or industrial field operations
- Experience leading and coordinating field-based technical teams
- Strong understanding of field service operations, scheduling, and workforce management
- Working knowledge of: WorkSafeBC regulations, BC Employment Standards legislation, CEC, CSA, and NETA standards
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and team leadership capabilities
- Experience with operational metrics, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
