Job Description

General Partner at 16VC leading investments in AI and technology startups. Shape investment strategy and collaborate with founders in building companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing and execution of early-stage investments across AI, SaaS, fintech, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop investment theses around high-conviction markets and technology trends.
  • Build long-term relationships with founders, operators, investors, universities, and startup ecosystems.
  • Lead due diligence, valuation discussions, and investment recommendations.
  • Serve on portfolio company boards or as a strategic advisor where appropriate.
  • Mentor founders on fundraising, hiring, product strategy, go-to-market, and company building.
  • Partner closely with the Venture Studio to identify and launch new companies.
  • Represent 16VC at industry events, conferences, demo days, and global startup communities.
  • Help shape the firm's investment strategy, brand, and long-term vision.
  • Support fundraising efforts and relationships with Limited Partners (LPs).

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, startup leadership, or entrepreneurship.
  • Proven experience leading venture investments from sourcing through exit or significant follow-on funding.
  • Strong network across founders, investors, operators, and the global startup ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying and backing high-potential technology companies.
  • Previous experience as a General Partner, Partner, Principal, or senior investment professional at a venture capital firm (Preferred).
  • Founder or executive leadership experience at a high-growth technology company (Preferred).
  • Deep expertise in AI, enterprise software, fintech, developer tools, infrastructure, or frontier technologies (Preferred).
  • Experience working with institutional investors or Limited Partners (Preferred).
