Job Description

Pharmaceutical sales representative promoting Tolmar products to Edmonton healthcare professionals. Executing territory plans, compliant product detailing, HCP education, and sales growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales objectives within an assigned territory
  • Develop, maintain, and grow business relationships with targeted General Practitioners, select specialists, and affiliated health professionals
  • Promote Tolmar products and drive appropriate on-label prescribing through clinical and value-based conversations
  • Create, maintain, and grow sales by maximizing appropriate product use among targeted healthcare professionals
  • Call on prescribing healthcare providers and deliver compliant, value-driven product information
  • Execute territory business plans aligned with national and regional sales objectives
  • Communicate approved clinical, therapeutic, disease-state, and product information
  • Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations supporting prescribing decisions
  • Identify educational needs and lead compliant HCP learning programs, peer-to-peer educational events, and speaker programs
  • Evaluate sales data and performance reports to manage priorities and identify opportunities
  • Maintain CRM records documenting sales activity, insights, trends, objectives, and territory performance
  • Complete routine reports accurately and on time
  • Manage call activity and territory routing for optimal coverage
  • Represent the company at local, regional, and national meetings and events
  • Manage promotional materials and budgets in compliance with company guidelines
  • Partner with Sales Management, Marketing, and Medical Affairs
  • Report Adverse Events and Technical Complaints according to company SOPs
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a related field
  • Two or more years of successful pharmaceutical-industry sales experience
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic-thinking ability
  • Advanced organizational and follow-up skills
  • Negotiation and selling-technique skills with demonstrated accountability for executing sales plans
  • Aptitude for learning technical and scientific product information
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work with interruptions and tight deadlines
  • Ability to execute effective territory business plans
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to take initiative without precise direction
  • Good judgment, discretion, and compliance with industry ethical guidelines
  • Assertive selling techniques, including asking for business on every call
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving history, and ability to be approved and insured to drive a company car
  • Reside centrally within the assigned territory
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Availability to work extra hours and weekends as necessary
