Job Description

Hospital sales specialist promoting Chiesi USA’s CARE hospital products across Upstate New York. Building clinical relationships, navigating formularies, and achieving territory sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the hospital sales specialist within an assigned Upstate New York territory
  • Meet sales objectives for Chiesi USA’s CARE promoted hospital products
  • Call on targeted customers and promote and sell Chiesi USA products using approved methods
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Conduct in-services and clinical discussions with physicians, pharmacists, and hospital staff
  • Navigate hospital formulary processes
  • Implement territory business plans aligned with regional and national goals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with medical centers, pharmacies, physicians, medical staff, and other stakeholders
  • Develop influential customers as local advocates and champions
  • Schedule and conduct high-impact meetings with targeted customers and peers
  • Implement speaker bureau programs, symposia, convention displays, and other special programs
  • Refine sales and retention strategies to optimize business outcomes
  • Partner with internal Chiesi teams to meet customer needs and advance the selling process
  • Prepare territory business plans, management reports, presentations, and monthly sales reports
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and obstacles to business growth
  • Gain proficiency with products and sales tools, including visual aids, clinical reprints, technical data, and educational materials
  • Manage the territory budget within company guidelines
  • Respond promptly to management and customer requests

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited university
  • Two years’ pharmaceutical industry sales experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Proven organizational and territory management skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency presenting scientific information using visual aids, clinical reprints, and technical data
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Successful completion of new hire training and ability to pass product knowledge tests
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and hospital credentialing processes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary hospital credentials, including successful completion of a drug test, including marijuana testing
  • Experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales preferred
