Job Description

Sales Specialist driving territory growth, instrument placements, and competitive conversions for Leica Biosystems’ histology diagnostics portfolio. Managing customer relationships and sales performance across Alabama and Tennessee.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive territory revenue growth, market share expansion, and instrument placements across the assigned geography
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to accelerate customer adoption of Core Histology solutions
  • Achieve annual sales objectives through funnel management, forecasting, opportunity development, and Salesforce.com utilization
  • Build and maintain prospective and existing customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities through workflow modernization, instrument replacement, and competitive conversions
  • Partner with Applications, Service, and Commercial teams on demonstrations, evaluations, installations, and customer onboarding
  • Leverage competitive intelligence, strategic selling tools, and product knowledge to differentiate solutions and improve win rates
  • Work remotely within the assigned territory and report to the Sales Manager, Core Histology

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant sales experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales territory, develop customer relationships, and drive opportunity progression to successful business outcomes
  • Experience with strategic selling, contract negotiation, capital equipment sales, or selling within complex and matrixed customer environments
  • Strong organizational, territory planning, and time management skills
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms to manage forecasting, pipeline health, account planning, and business performance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel 50-75% overnight for territory coverage and/or company meetings
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Prior capital equipment sales experience is a plus
  • Histology, pathology, laboratory workflow, diagnostics, or healthcare industry experience is a plus
  • Experience selling laboratory instrumentation, workflow automation solutions, or related healthcare technologies is a plus
