Job Description

Medical Affairs Advisor providing medical and scientific advice in the healthcare field for Pfizer. Engaging with professionals in Dermatology, Gastroenterology, and chronic inflammatory diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical and scientific advice to healthcare professionals and professional bodies through scientific communications
  • Engage and collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate a medical and scientific bridge between Pfizer and the healthcare community
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to effectively convey and manage drug safety issues
  • Shape development program through insights from academic and clinical community and patients
  • Generate and publish real-world data
  • Deliver the medical plan in relation to medical projects, Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) and assistance for Pfizer sponsored clinical research
  • Provide medical/scientific input into protocol feasibility assessments for clinical trial proposals
  • Ensure customer intelligence is brought into the organisation to generate customer insights and influence business opportunities
  • Manage local advisory boards to gain customer insights
  • Assist other departments (e.g. Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Medical Information) with relevant tasks

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Business English
  • Medical, Pharmacy or Science degree
  • Expertise in Dermatology area or respiratory area
  • GMC registration with a License to Practice is preferred for medical applicants
  • A postgraduate degree (e.g. PhD) or evidence of relevant practice or productivity is preferred
  • UK registration is preferred for pharmacy applicants
  • A postgraduate degree (e.g. PhD) or evidence of relevant practice or productivity is preferred for pharmacy applicants
  • A post graduate science degree (e.g. PhD, MSc) is preferred for scientists
  • Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs and/or significant practice within a related specialty (e.g. clinical research, medicines regulation, health technology assessment) may be considered instead of degree
