Job Description
Import Analyst managing international trade processes from initial request to final delivery. Collaborating with logistics and customs agents at Hesselbach Company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage import processes for samples, inputs, equipment and seeds, from the initial request through delivery to the destination.
- Track air, sea and road shipments, monitoring deadlines, costs and shipment status;
- Monitor arrivals at ports, airports and border crossings;
- Review and validate import documents, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL / AWB / CRT, Phytosanitary Certificate and Import License (LI);
- Serve as the focal point with customs brokers, freight forwarders and carriers;
- Authorize DUIMP registrations, approve taxes and fees/operational expenses;
- Ensure correct tax classification (NCM), technical description and intended use of items to be imported;
- Request metrics from the customs broker;
- Liaise with the Logistics team on transportation arrangements from ports and airports to Corteva plants;
- Ensure import process records are up to date in the import control SharePoint sites;
- Serve as the focal point for coordination between Golden Express and production units for courier export of samples;
- Monitor import demands with key importers on a monthly basis;
- Provide occasional support for seed export processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in International Trade or International Relations
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
