Job Description

Chef de projet gérant les ventes aux enchères pour Surplex, une entreprise de commerce électronique. Responsable de la préparation et de la mise en œuvre des ventes industrielles en France.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Project Manager, you are the face of Surplex at our auctions
  • You are responsible for preparing and operationally implementing our industrial auctions in France
  • You catalogue machines and equipment and assess their value
  • Ensure professional presentation (photos, descriptions, etc.)
  • Manage all logistics related to viewing days and pick-ups
  • Coordinate external service providers (e.g., cleaning companies or disposal services)
  • Handle unexpected situations on site
  • Ensure smooth operations for sellers and buyers
  • Monitor key performance indicators (lot volume, conversion rate, auction amounts) to contribute to auction success and the continuous improvement of our processes
  • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Projects teams

Requirements:

  • Technical or commercial/business education
  • Experience as a service/maintenance technician or in a similar role within an industrial environment
  • Basic knowledge of machinery, ideally in the food, construction, pharmaceutical or agricultural sectors
  • Proficiency in English, spoken and written; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a structured and independent approach to work
  • Customer-oriented, team player with a hands-on, proactive attitude
  • Willingness to travel within France and to stay overnight in hotels
  • Technical affinity and ease of use with IT systems and MS Office
