Job Description
Seasonal Lab Technician preparing samples and operating laboratory equipment for SGS, a global testing, inspection, and certification company. Supporting accurate, safe, and timely analytical laboratory production.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, log, or prepare samples for analysis according to SGS analytical SOPs
- Use basic department-specific instrumentation and analytical methodologies
- Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments/equipment
- Assist with validation and MDL studies as needed
- Input and maintain technical information supporting laboratory operations
- Maintain the Laboratory Notebook where applicable
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, procedures, and safe laboratory practices
- Meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories
- Advanced English language skills
- Basic mathematical and reasoning skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 25 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Must be open to working a 90-day temporary seasonal role
