Job Description

Learning Consultant helping K12 institutions adopt Instructure’s Canvas, Mastery Connect, and Impact platforms. Leading change, training, coaching, and instructional technology rollouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with K12 institutions as part of the Learning Services team
  • Help customers manage change and deepen and elevate their use of Instructure products
  • Provide strategic planning, customized consultation, resource development, project management, training, and targeted coaching
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create and execute communication, training, and engagement plans
  • Support implementation of organizational vision and goals for Instructure products
  • Analyze challenges using data and apply targeted strategies to improve teaching and learning
  • Mentor organization leaders, faculty, instructional designers, coaches, and staff on Canvas, Mastery Connect, and Impact
  • Build adoption resources, model courses, and other deliverables
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct product training and consulting sessions
  • Connect product usage with instructional best practices
  • Follow up after consulting sessions to monitor progress and promote success
  • Collaborate with team members, Instructure employees, and customers to enhance product use
  • Prepare and deliver help documents, course materials, and presentations tailored to each organization
  • Support customer rollouts while following internal procedures, security and privacy protocols, and institution policies
  • Travel to support product rollouts as needed
  • Identify areas requiring additional support, training, or consulting

Requirements:

  • At least three years of teaching or consulting experience in a K12 or higher education setting
  • Experience with a digital learning environment
  • At least two years of Canvas and/or Mastery Connect experience required
  • Experience creating engaging, responsive, and inclusive Canvas courses
  • At least one year in an educational leadership position overseeing a team supporting a learning and assessment management system
  • Experience leading change, building strong relationships, developing professional development programs, and rolling out a technology platform to a large organization
  • Current knowledge of technology adoption strategies, professional development protocols, and educational technology best practices
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and work comfortably with ambiguity
  • Experience delivering presentations in an educational environment
  • Ability to adapt promptly and efficiently to project adjustments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel to client sites is required
