Job Description
Math Content Specialist supporting instructional improvement in K-12 education across the United States. Collaborating with internal leaders and school systems to enhance instructional effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Support instructional improvement on the ground with school system partners
- Work closely with internal leaders, executing professional development, diagnosing and progress monitoring instruction and school conditions
- Build and coach capacity in instructional leaders, providing content and curricular expertise throughout the country
- Partner with internal leaders to observe, analyze, and monitor instruction, systemic conditions, and instructional leadership practices using diagnostic tools
- Communicate clearly and proactively with partners, building strong, trust-based relationships with system and school leaders
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience, including experience as a math teacher and 2+ years as an administrator or instructional coach
- Deep content knowledge demonstrated through the ability to independently design and deliver high-engagement, curriculum- and content-specific professional learning with accuracy and clarity
- Expertise in diagnosing the quality of instruction and instructional leadership practices using proprietary tools, with the ability to synthesize trends into recommended, actionable strategies for leaders
- Mastery of coaching skills necessary to build the capacity of instructional leaders, focusing on improving content-specific instructional leadership practice
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively across team members, demonstrating clarity in communication and seamless task handoffs to ensure project alignment
