Job Description
Payroll Analyst supporting the US Payroll department in Nashville using the Workday platform. Assisting with payroll processing, documentation, and employee support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll processing and reconciliation
- Responsible for all employee time, earnings, deductions, and tax data for accuracy
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Bi-weekly, run and format audit report; assist in troubleshooting any variances
- Assist in testing payroll system changes, enhancements, and integrations
- Support year-end activities such as W-2 validation and reporting
- Maintain payroll inbox and provide top notch customer service to all employees’ inquiries
- Audit data integrity between our HRIS and payroll system
- Research and resolve tax inquiries with One Source Virtual
- Maintain payroll records and support document retention compliance
- Run payroll reports and assist in preparing metrics and dashboards
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data flow
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field
- 3–5 years of payroll or HR data experience
- Experience and proficiency in payroll systems, including cloud technologies (preferably Workday Payroll)
- Experience working in a SOX controlled environment
- Strong work-ethic and are a self-starter with effective organizational skills with attention to detail who proactively seeks out new solutions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (v lookups, pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and communicate clearly with employees
