Job Description

Senior Payroll Specialist coordinating global payroll operations for Latin American markets in a fast-paced startup. Collaborating across teams to ensure operational accuracy and timely processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries and EOR partners.
  • Review payroll inputs, outputs, statutory contributions, invoices, and payroll reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payroll processing and salary disbursement.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies, escalations, and employee queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support off-cycle payroll requests, adjustments, onboarding payroll readiness, and payroll-related documentation.
  • Review payroll invoices and coordinate invoice processing with Finance and payroll partners.
  • Act as a key operational point of contact to ensure employees are fully set up before payroll processing.
  • Coordinate onboarding-related payroll requirements such as benefits enrollment, statutory registrations, insurance setup, banking details, tax documentation, and payroll profiles.
  • Work closely with Employee Onboarding/Offboarding, Lifecycle and Global Mobility teams to ensure smooth onboarding and lifecycle transitions.
  • Support Commercial and Customer Success teams with payroll-related pre-sales queries and operational feasibility assessments.
  • Coordinate with EOR partners regarding payroll timelines, pay frequencies, statutory costs, benefits, onboarding timelines, and payroll practices.
  • Help ensure fast response times for client-facing payroll and operational requests.
  • Assist in preparing payroll-related operational insights, assumptions, and clarifications for quotations and client discussions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to identify payroll process improvements and operational enhancements.
  • Provide feedback on payroll workflows, onboarding processes, reporting requirements, and automation opportunities based on operational experience.
  • Contribute to building scalable payroll processes and internal knowledge documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll operations, EOR operations, HR operations, or global workforce management.
  • Experience handling multi-country payroll or working with EOR/payroll providers is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll operations, onboarding coordination, and operational workflows.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Product, Commercial, and external vendors.
  • Experience with payroll platforms, HRIS, or operational systems is a plus.
  • Advanced English communication skills required.
