Job Description
Pre-Sales Solution Architect generating customer specific solutions for Ciena's telecommunications software. Collaborating with internal teams to deliver excellence in OSS and BSS domains while addressing business problems in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Generate customer specific solution quotes to address business problems.
- Work closely with Sales team, Product Management, the Delivery organisation and with their Technical Sales Leader peers.
- Generate solutions, respond to requests for quotes and estimates and provide input into professional services engagements.
- Assist in the creation of technical design specifications to align with client needs.
- Work with client’s IT, Network Operations, Planning and Engineering teams to understand existing systems and to define scope of work for the deployment and upgrade of existing deployments.
- Participate in remote workshops and other activities to ensure client teams are well-informed and engaged and quotes are delivered to customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in the role of hands-on Solution Architecture in the telco OSS and/or BSS areas.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of the telecoms OSS domain
- Understanding of Telecom Network design and architectures.
- Ability to speak and write in English to technical and contract level in support of building Statements of Work (SOW).
- It is beneficial to also speak additional languages.
- Deep understanding of Performance, Fault and Network Device Management.
- Understanding of the Telco OSS ecosystem and ideally knowledge of two or more of the following: Assurance Systems – IBM Netcool, Broadcom, Cisco Net Brain, Juniper Paragon, Solar Winds, NetCracker Fault management, Ericsson Assurance Suite.
- Network configuration processes from a functional and technical perspective.
