Job Description

Program Manager leading large-scale clinical technology migrations and enterprise transformation programs for Centene’s healthcare operations. Coordinating cross-functional teams, executive communications, risks, budgets, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver strategic programs and complex, large-scale enterprise-wide projects
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional healthcare migrations for implementation or process improvement
  • Oversee program planning, management, and execution, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Create comprehensive timelines and ensure appropriate project deliverables
  • Coordinate project managers and business analysts managing individual workgroups
  • Create executive-level dashboards, project status updates, and post-implementation analytics reports
  • Create and deliver best-practice and training information and collaborate on training materials
  • Prepare and deliver documents for Program Steering Committees and executive teams
  • Assess program risks, escalate issues, and manage risks, budgets, forecasts, and dependencies
  • Conduct strategic analysis of business and operational opportunities
  • Serve as the first escalation point for project issues and risks
  • Create risk mitigation plans and communicate business and technology issues and solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years of Program or Project Management experience required
  • Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross-functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of staff required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management tools required
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Healthcare experience and/or managed care experience preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred
  • Experience with clinical systems, interoperability, vendor coordination, HL7, FHIR, and APIs preferred
