Job Description

Program Manager leading large-scale enterprise healthcare projects for Centene. Managing cross-functional teams, budgets, risks, executive communications, and strategic program delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional implementation or process-improvement projects
  • Work with organizational leaders on restructuring and realignment of team members
  • Oversee program planning, management, and execution, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Create comprehensive timelines and ensure appropriate project deliverables are maintained
  • Coordinate project managers and business analysts managing individual workgroups
  • Create executive dashboards and project-status updates
  • Work with teams to create reports for ongoing post-implementation analytics
  • Create and deliver best-practice and training information to indirect reports, peers, and employees
  • Collaborate with the training team to create and review training materials
  • Prepare and deliver documents for Program Steering Committees and executive leadership
  • Assess program risks, escalate issues, and develop risk-mitigation plans
  • Manage risk, budget/forecast, dependencies, and strategic analyses
  • Serve as the first escalation point for project issues and risks
  • Communicate business and technology issues and solutions

Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years of Program or Project Management experience required
  • Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross-functional teams on large scale projects, or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work, and managing staff required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management tools required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Healthcare experience and/or managed care experience preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred
