Job Description

Project Launch Manager coordinating hyperscale data center transitions from lease execution to construction mobilization. Managing handovers, preconstruction, developer interfaces, and reporting across concurrent sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the transition of signed deals from lease execution through construction mobilization
  • Work with the pre-lease team to absorb and package each signed deal
  • Complete handover checks against client requirements and track transfer gaps to assigned owners and resolution dates
  • Prepare materials and briefing for, and co-lead, project launch meetings onsite with the client project lead
  • Assign and track project launch actions through completion
  • Commission schedule and cost reviews as design detail matures
  • Incorporate specialist findings into the site baseline and reporting
  • Pursue resulting actions with the developer
  • Drive due-diligence open items to documented closure within the launch window
  • Lead weekly project calls, design coordination, and developer interface through mobilization
  • Maintain action logs and produce milestone reporting inputs in a consistent portfolio format
  • Manage day-to-day interfaces with the developer, client project lead, and internal specialists
  • Transfer each site to the onsite delivery team at mobilization, including the current baseline, open item register, and accepted-risk record
  • Contribute to developing the team handover check, launch format, and reporting standard
  • Apply lessons learned to subsequent sites
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable
  • Manage two to three concurrent sites at different stages
  • Travel approximately 6–10 days per month, including in-person launch meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Data center experience required in delivery, preconstruction, or development
  • Mission critical and complex technical facility backgrounds considered where experience is transferable
  • Working knowledge of data center construction, including information and documentation required by an incoming delivery team at mobilization
  • Experience with project handover, preconstruction coordination, change control, and open item tracking
  • Ability to interpret and act on schedule and cost reviews produced by specialists and pursue resulting issues with a developer
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at different stages and secure information and commitments from parties who do not report to the role
  • Ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders and secure assigned actions with owners and dates
  • Ability to work to a standard under development and contribute to establishing it
  • Technical skills to read, understand, and communicate contract requirements, including construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise reporting to senior client stakeholders
  • Technological proficiency, including MS Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to understand and follow site HSSE policies
  • General technological proficiency
  • A degree is not required
