Job Description
Project Manager leading CRO central laboratory studies for Precision for Medicine, accelerating novel therapeutics development. Managing timelines, budgets, risks, client relationships, and cross-functional delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead new and existing CRO laboratory projects across assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management and logistics, and kitting for client studies
- Lead and manage designated protocols throughout their lifecycle, ensuring project performance and client satisfaction
- Translate project plans into action and results through client-facing, cross-functional leadership
- Monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines and budgets
- Provide internal consulting on project management issues and identify process and efficiency improvements
- Lead projects from conception through close-out, including planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder management, scope control, and cost control
- Create and manage project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans
- Coordinate and supervise scheduled activities, delegating responsibilities as appropriate
- Lead implementation of new and ongoing studies and coordinate new project development
- Communicate with clients and collaborators regarding data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and assigned areas
- Coordinate data gathering and prepare project information, reports, and correspondence for meetings and stakeholders
- Track revenue objectives, expenses, client billing, and monthly budget variances
- Create, track, and report project and business metrics
- Identify out-of-scope work, escalate findings and action plans, and manage project tasks efficiently
- Review, update, and evolve project documentation to approvable status
- Assess and mitigate technical, project, and business risks
- Ensure work products comply with design and performance standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
- Identify and help resolve operational issues, adjust priorities and schedules, and complete additional project responsibilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering
- Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, judgment, and discretion
- Strong understanding of project management and data analysis
- Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional research and reporting skills
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and comprehend English
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10–25%
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet business demands
