Job Description

Project Manager leading CRO laboratory studies for Precision for Medicine, accelerating novel therapeutic development. Managing timelines, budgets, risks, clients, and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead new and existing CRO laboratory projects across assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management and logistics, and kitting for client studies
  • Lead and manage designated protocols from conception through close-out
  • Ensure project plans are translated into action and results, maintaining client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles
  • Serve as cross-functional lead and monitor operational delivery against contracted timelines and budgets
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans
  • Coordinate daily activities, delegate responsibilities, and supervise contracted work
  • Lead implementation of new and ongoing studies as the client-facing company representative
  • Coordinate project development, data gathering, inventory control, shipping procedures, and study activities
  • Prepare and present project information, reports, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders
  • Track project metrics, revenue objectives, expenses, billing, and budget variances
  • Identify out-of-scope work, escalate findings and action plans, and manage project risks
  • Ensure deliverables comply with design and performance standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, adjust priorities to meet deadlines, and maintain project documentation
  • Provide internal project management consulting and process improvement recommendations
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and assist senior staff as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering
  • Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion
  • Fluent ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10–25%
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet business demands
