Job Description
Environmental remediation project manager delivering US infrastructure and sustainability projects for AECOM. Managing technical projects, budgets, client requirements, and teams across the Northern Midwest.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee preparation of work plans and organize projects
- Interface directly with technical project managers and project teams to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget
- Incorporate client requirements, commercial contract terms, change management processes, and financial performance KPIs into project management
- Use client- and AECOM-prescribed tools to track and manage project finances
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
- Work directly with multiple Operations Managers to achieve strategic objectives on major accounts
- Manage internal and external-facing responsibilities across the US, with focus on the Northern Midwest Region
- Apply expertise in technical project roles and project management roles
- Travel significantly at times
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant environmental remediation experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident; sponsorship will not be provided
- Subject to a background check and motor vehicle records check
- Preferred: 10 years of experience in site investigation and remediation
- Preferred: 5 years of project management experience
- Professional certification preferred, such as Professional Engineer/Geologist, Chartered Engineer/Geologist, or PMP
- Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills
- Experience with residential remediation projects
- Experience with mine-related site remediation projects
- Experience successfully managing environmental remediation projects for various types of clients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing teams and scheduling staff and resources for on-time, on-budget delivery
- Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
