Job Description

Project Manager leading CRO laboratory studies for novel therapeutics development. Managing timelines, budgets, risks, client relationships, and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead new and existing CRO laboratory projects across assay development and clinical testing, biorepository/sample management and logistics, and kitting for client studies
  • Lead and manage designated protocols throughout their lifecycle, ensuring project performance and client satisfaction
  • Translate project plans into action and results through client-facing and internal cross-functional leadership
  • Manage project planning and execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder management, scope and cost control
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans
  • Coordinate and supervise scheduled activities, delegating responsibilities as appropriate
  • Lead implementation of new and ongoing studies
  • Coordinate development and implementation of new projects
  • Track and report project timelines, metrics, revenue, expenses, budgets, and variances
  • Communicate with clients, collaborators, and vendors regarding data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, and assigned areas
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings and prepare reports and correspondence
  • Identify out-of-scope work, escalate findings and action plans, and manage client expectations
  • Review, update, and evolve project documentation to approvable status
  • Assess and mitigate technical, project, and business risks
  • Ensure work product complies with design and performance standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
  • Identify, resolve, and assist with resolving operational issues
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and assist senior staff as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering
  • Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion
  • Able to read, write, fluently speak, and comprehend English
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10–25%
  • Extended work hours may be necessary to meet business demands
