Job Description
Project Manager leading CRO laboratory studies for Precision for Medicine, accelerating novel therapeutics. Managing timelines, budgets, risks, clients, and cross-functional delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead new and existing CRO laboratory projects spanning assay development and clinical testing, biorepository/sample management and logistics, and kitting for client studies
- Manage designated protocols and overall project performance and client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles
- Lead cross-functional project teams and monitor delivery against contracted timelines and budgets
- Lead projects from conception through close-out, including planning, execution, risk management, communications, stakeholder management, scope, and cost control
- Create and manage project timelines, budgets, revenue goals, forecasts, and resource plans
- Coordinate and supervise scheduled activities, delegating responsibilities as appropriate
- Lead implementation of new and ongoing studies as the client-facing company representative
- Coordinate project development, implementation, data gathering, and operational activities
- Communicate with clients and collaborators regarding data management, inventory control, and shipping procedures
- Prepare and present project information, reports, and correspondence for internal and external meetings
- Track revenue objectives, expenses, billing, budgets, and variances; report unexpected variances to the department director
- Create, track, and report project and business metrics
- Identify out-of-scope work, escalate findings and action plans, and resolve operational issues
- Review and update project documentation to approvable status
- Assess and mitigate technical, project, and business risks
- Ensure work complies with design and performance standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations
- Monitor assignments, adjust priorities and schedules, and complete additional project, client, and departmental tasks
- Provide internal project management consulting and mentor junior Project Managers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field, such as engineering
- Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office/MS 365 applications
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills; exceptional emotional intelligence
- Strong understanding of project management and data analysis
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional research and reporting skills
- Exceptional judgment and discretion
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including overnight stays, approximately 10–25%
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet business demands
