Job Description
JLL refrigeration engineer maintaining, repairing, installing, and commissioning commercial systems. Supporting retail clients across UK locations through remote field service.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive callouts, and emergency breakdown repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems
- Perform installation and commissioning of new refrigeration equipment and systems
- Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation via digital job management systems
- Provide customer service on-site, liaising with clients, store managers, and head office contacts
- Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency breakdowns outside standard working hours
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition
Requirements:
- F-Gas certification (Category 1) – essential
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Knowledge of CO₂ refrigeration systems (transcritical/subcritical)
- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial refrigeration
- Experience with retail refrigeration systems preferred
- Familiarity with major refrigeration brands (SCM, Hussmann, AHT, etc.)
