Job Description

Regional Business Manager selling Flow’s advanced waterjet, fiber laser, and press brake solutions. Managing accounts, channel partners, value-based sales, and regional growth across the Northwest U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Flow International Corporation and its products and services to new and existing customers
  • Manage national accounts, select equipment manufacturers, dealers, agents, and other channel partners
  • Develop and maintain long-term business relationships
  • Identify growth opportunities and deliver value-based solutions aligned with customer needs
  • Book orders according to the plan set by the Vice President of Sales
  • Build customer relationships and manage expectations across system purchases, aftermarket service, support, installation handoffs, and escalation paths
  • Manage channel partner selling activities
  • Communicate customer, market, competitive, application, sales-support, and product-performance information
  • Identify and manage regional accounts and channel partners
  • Deliver formal sales presentations, management presentations, training sessions, and presentations to professional organizations such as SME and SAE
  • Visit existing customers regularly and inform them about relevant new technology
  • Report customer problems and successes to the home office and drive improvements
  • Submit weekly expenses, sales forecasts, call reports, itineraries, lost-order reports, and customer-support reports
  • Support education and training for regional sales representatives and channel partners
  • Enable channel partners to take on relevant portions of the sales cycle
  • Potentially supervise technical or application salespeople after training is complete

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), Sales/Marketing or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Training and demonstrated experience in value-selling
  • Familiarity with Flow products/services and competitive offerings
  • Minimum of five (5) years of capital equipment sales experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a sales management position
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite applications
  • High level of analytical ability for complex problems
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into audience-specific messages
  • Business and technical acumen
  • Customer empathy and ability to leverage customer value, including ROI and TCO
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and involve the organization as needed
  • High interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and apply input
  • Ability to travel with some frequency, occasionally for extended periods
  • Ability to talk or hear; occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach, and lift/move up to 10 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
