Job Description
Regional Sales Manager growing TestEquity’s test-and-measurement distribution business across the Northeast. Leading sales teams, supplier partnerships, territories, and profitable B2B growth.
Responsibilities:
- Grow a defined geographic region and manage a team of sales professionals within the geography
- Drive profitable T&M sales growth for all customers in the defined region
- Create and maintain a culture of accountability focused on sustainable customer relationships
- Sustain and develop critical supplier relationships
- Execute initiatives established by TestEquity and its suppliers
- Forecast and develop annual sales targets for individual territories
- Implement regional and corporate sales programs
- Develop and execute field sales action plans
- Motivate, energize, and empower the team
- Establish and grow relationships with key suppliers
- Support suppliers’ sales representatives through joint sales initiatives
- Coach the team and develop sales, product, service, and offer knowledge
- Improve profit margins through pricing and product-mix programs
- Recruit, develop, and maintain a pipeline of talented sellers
- Performance-manage sellers and upgrade organizational talent
- Navigate business processes to remove barriers
- Manage the opportunity pipeline to ensure goal attainment
- Develop and monitor performance and activity measurements
- Work cross-functionally to build go-to-market plans and drive organizational change
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, marketing, and/or engineering preferred
- 10+ years of sales/sales leadership experience
- Demonstrated record of meeting and/or exceeding sales targets in a high-tech/industrial B2B distribution environment
- Ability to coach, motivate, and lead a sales team to meet profitable sales targets year-over-year
- Contracts and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute go-to-market plans
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Ability to travel throughout the year
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
