Job Description
Revenue Accounting Manager at Rad AI leading revenue recognition and contract analysis for healthcare AI firm. Responsible for compliance and financial reporting across various revenue models.
Responsibilities:
- Own all revenue schedules and related reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and full ASC 606 compliance across subscription, usage-based, and milestone contracts.
- Analyze customer contracts for revenue recognition nuances, identifying performance obligations, variable consideration, and timing impacts.
- Prepare and post all monthly revenue-related journal entries; own deferred and unbilled revenue accounts and reconciliations.
- Produce the monthly revenue close package, summarizing key trends, drivers, and variances for management review.
- Run invoicing and usage true-ups; manage collections and customer communications to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Partner with Implementation and Sales Ops to align billing and milestone schedules, ensuring accurate timing of revenue and invoices.
- Draft revenue recognition memos and propose policy adjustments when needed; maintain process documentation for audit readiness.
- Serve as the administrator for Maxio (or future revenue automation system), driving integration improvements and ensuring data integrity.
- Own revenue-related audit requests and internal control testing, maintaining organized and supportable documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2+ years focused on SaaS revenue recognition and AR processes.
- Strong command of ASC 606; familiarity with multi-element SaaS arrangements, usage-based billing, and milestone recognition.
- Experience with ERP and revenue automation tools (NetSuite, Maxio, or similar).
- Ability to work with data across multiple systems to reconcile and report cleanly.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally, translating accounting rules into operational clarity.
- Curious, detail-oriented, and proactive. You’re not just closing the books, you’re helping to build a scalable, auditable revenue model.
- MBA and/or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
