Job Description

Virtual sales executive growing Splunk software revenue for Cisco’s public-sector customers. Prospecting, qualifying leads, managing relationships, forecasting opportunities, and exceeding revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with inbound leads and provide status updates through the company CRM system
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and lead generation
  • Qualify leads and schedule product demos
  • Build and foster client relationships through personalized contact
  • Understand client needs and communicate product and service value
  • Accurately forecast opportunities based on realistic assessments
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue goals
  • Partner with field sales representatives across various geographies and territories
  • Support attendance at field marketing events, including Splunk Lives, the National Users Conference and regional trade shows

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of selling experience at meaningful companies/businesses
  • Experience selling enterprise IT solutions such as BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software or networking performance
  • Experience working in a fast-growing software sales company
  • Proven track record of exceeding yearly quota
  • Success in consultative sales environments and putting the customer first
  • Experience developing and nurturing new business and managing the sales cycle from lead generation through closing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Logical and analytical thinking
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills
  • Experience with CRM systems, Word, Excel and Salesforce
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and contribute as a team member
