Job Description

Sales Manager leading Johnson & Johnson’s Spine business across Northern/Eastern Germany. Managing regional revenue, field-sales teams, clinical customers, and strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership and revenue responsibility for the Northern/Eastern Germany region
  • Report directly to the Business Unit Director, Spine Germany
  • Own the commercial development of the portfolios
  • Strategically develop customer and hospital systems
  • Identify and implement market opportunities
  • Lead, prioritize, coach, and develop a team of field sales representatives
  • Own revenue, market share, profitability, and growth targets
  • Develop and implement regional sales and customer strategies
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline, resources, and performance metrics
  • Analyze business metrics and derive improvement initiatives
  • Build and develop strategic relationships with surgeons, hospital leadership, purchasing organizations, and hospital networks
  • Lead complex tender, contract, and negotiation processes
  • Ensure clinical and technical support in Spine as well as Services & Solutions
  • Support product launches, training sessions, workshops, and customer events
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, Medical Education, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, HCC, Supply Chain, and Sales Leadership
  • Lead regional initiatives and contribute to strategic projects
  • Serve as a point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with the capacity to inspire and develop teams while consistently driving results
  • Several years of successful sales experience in a medical technology or clinical environment, as well as experience leading teams
  • Ideally, market knowledge in orthopedics, Spine, trauma, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of hospital structures, decision-making processes, and complex stakeholder environments
  • Proven success developing customer strategies, growth initiatives, and strategic accounts
  • Experience with complex tenders, contract processes, and negotiations
  • Structured, data-driven approach to work
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Completed degree or equivalent qualification in business, healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, or a related field
  • Fluent German and good English skills
  • Category B driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Northern/Eastern Germany region
  • High level of personal accountability in complying with compliance, quality, and HCC requirements
