Job Description

Senior Account Manager enhancing customer relationships and selling life science solutions at QIAGEN. Responsible for key accounts in life science, clinical, and research testing with significant fieldwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction, building customer relationships, and selling products and services to key accounts in life science, clinical, and research testing
  • 80% of time spent in the field, willingness to travel with some overnight stays
  • Must have a strong background in life sciences and a well-developed technical aptitude in modern molecular methods (Sample Purification, PCR, dPCR, and Next Generation Sequencing)
  • Develop strong internal networks within supply chain, global product manufacturing, custom product development teams, and technical/customer support organization

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science or equivalent
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • 3+ years of lab experience preferred
  • 3+ years of directly related sales experience with proven track record
  • 3+ years working in a hub in spoke type team environment
  • Wide range of knowledge of life science applications, products, and market
  • Knowledge of QIAGEN products preferred
  • Proven ability to sell at the highest levels within an organization
  • Create and develop strategy
  • Excellent territory management skills including SFDC usage and achieving KPIs
  • Experience in project management and complex sales
