Job Description

Alcon field sales associate growing innovative eye-care product adoption among practitioners. Managing territory strategy, customer relationships, consultations, and regional sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Eye Care Practitioners to identify patient and practice needs
  • Align Alcon products and services with unmet customer needs
  • Grow sales by influencing customers to prescribe and recommend Alcon products
  • Provide product and technical consultation on Alcon products and their appropriate use
  • Develop structured territory strategies using account information, territory mapping, Salesforce.com call reporting, and Alcon sales data
  • Create execution plans and routing schedules; plan and execute daily customer calls
  • Maintain customer relationships, respond to requests within 24 hours, follow up on calls, and resolve issues
  • Use analytical tools to develop business insights and customize the customer approach
  • Collaborate on regional and local conferences and customer engagement opportunities
  • Participate in conventions and educational events, including some evenings and weekends
  • Conduct continuing education opportunities and manage all aspects of CE events
  • Contribute to regional sales opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent college diploma
  • 3–5 years sales experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Business acumen with proven analytical, organizational, negotiating, and networking skills
  • Strong business experience in Health Sciences, preferably eye care
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with a computerized sales administration system
  • Preferred: BSc, BA, Marketing, or Finance
  • Preferred: 1–5 years within industry experience in eye care, medical device, or pharma
  • Travel required up to 20% within the territory
  • Additional travel within North America for conferences, educational events, and training
