Job Description

Communications Specialist for Sanford Health planning and implementing internal communication strategies to engage workforce. Involves leading communication efforts across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the effective delivery of employee communication programs through a wide range of mediums to create impact and engagement.
  • Lead the planning, organization and coordination of internal communication for specific departments and initiatives.
  • Develop internal communications tactics including email, video, and intranet.
  • Author stories through Sanford Health News.
  • Assist in the development of corporate communication materials and messages used for external audiences.
  • Ensure that the right messages are going to the right audiences at the right time.
  • Train the organization on the use of best methods and templates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field is required.
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s degree in communications or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years relevant communication and/or writing experience, preferably in a large and complex corporate setting, is required.
