Job Description
Senior Community Manager building online and industry communities for First Connect Insurance’s digital platform connecting independent agents with top US carriers. Leading ambassador programs, events, content, and engagement metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Build and run First Connect's online community for independent agents
- Choose the platform, establish the operating model, recruit founding members, and grow the community
- Design and launch an agent ambassador program
- Build First Connect's presence in independent insurance communities, including Big I, PIA, American Agents Alliance chapters, agency owner meetups, regional networking groups, LinkedIn, and Facebook groups
- Turn the existing trade show calendar into a community engagement engine
- Own strategy and content for customer summits, roadshows, dinners, webinars, and trade-show programming; partner with Events on logistics and execution
- Establish community-led content programs such as peer webinars, carrier and leadership AMAs, agent spotlights, and podcast collaborations
- Partner with Product on beta and early-access programs
- Define and report community health metrics including active members, engagement, pipeline contribution, retention, and NPS
- Present monthly insights to the leadership team
- Serve as a public face of First Connect, traveling to events, hosting conversations, and writing in the role's own voice
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, Carrier, Events, and leadership teams
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years building and running a community management function
- Track record of launching and scaling a B2B online community, member network, or professional community at a comparable company (insurtech, fintech, B2B SaaS, professional association, network, MGA, or aggregator)
- Direct experience designing and running an ambassador, MVP, customer advisory, or similar recognition program
- Experience producing event content, including panels, breakouts, fireside chats, summits, and dinners
- Strong written voice and ability to ghost-write for executives when needed
- Fluency with modern community technology such as Slack, Circle, CommonRoom, and Higher Logic
- Proven ability to work with product and technology teams on platform integrations
- Data-driven approach to community health and ROI
- Comfortable presenting community metrics to a leadership audience
- Willingness to travel to industry events, agent gatherings, and team offsites roughly 20–30% of the year
