Job Description
Regional Ethics & Compliance Counsel at Cisco advising leadership on compliance risks in the EMEA region. Navigating regulatory landscapes and ensuring adherence to ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership on compliance risks and mitigation strategies
- Monitor, interpret, and advise on applicable regional laws, regulations, and compliance standards
- Advise on and negotiate compliance provisions in commercial agreements
- Advise on customer requests related to Cisco’s Ethics & Compliance program and commitment
- Advise on and oversee regional Remediation post-investigation
- Design and lead regional Ethics & Compliance training – virtual and in-person
- Serve as a regional escalation point for high-risk Partner and Supplier due diligence findings
- Lead quarterly regional Ethics & Compliance roundtables with control function and regional business leads
- Manage and advise on Conflict of Interest (COI) Gifts, Travel and Entertainment (GTE) and Third-Party Due Diligence related escalations
- Design and lead regional engagements with key external business partners
- As needed/requested, partner with Investigations on policy enforcement matters
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in ethics and compliance, corporate law, or a related field, preferably within the technology sector
- In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape in the EMEA region
- Proven experience advising senior leadership on compliance matters
- Strong understanding of compliance program design, implementation, and training
- Excellent negotiation and contract review skills
- Experience with due diligence processes and managing escalations
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
