Job Description

Senior L&D director rebuilding AI-enabled training and certification systems for Restore’s 200+ franchised wellness studios. Driving compliance, performance, and new-service launch readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Re-architect Restore’s learning and development function across 200+ franchised wellness studios
  • Own the LMS end-to-end, including selection or rebuild, content architecture, analytics, and HRIS, EHR, and POS integrations
  • Move training from event-based delivery to daily, in-the-flow micro-learning
  • Design and deploy 101/201/301 role-based certification paths for Registered Nurses, General Managers, Estheticians, and Wellness Representatives
  • Build franchisee onboarding from FDD signature through opening day and beyond
  • Train trainers and establish regional field coaches
  • Ensure new team members complete certification before serving clients
  • Maintain current, accessible, and enforceable operations manuals and brand standards
  • Translate operations documentation into training and audits
  • Own the new studio opening readiness playbook
  • Partner with Product, the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Operations, and Regulatory on new-service launch training
  • Deliver clinical, operational, and selling training when services go live
  • Build cross-functional communication through newsletters, huddles, regional calls, video, and LMS announcements
  • Implement AI-powered micro-training, role-play simulators, personalized learning paths, and real-time AI coaching
  • Deliver an AI-powered pilot and re-engineered roadmap within the first 90 days
  • Launch 101 certifications for all four roles by month 6 and the full 101/201/301 stack by month 12
  • Measure impact on conversion, attach, rebooking, profitability, labor efficiency, retention, NPS, clinical quality, service mix, ramp time, certification pass rates, and studio performance
  • Report to the CEO and serve on the senior leadership team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, BA, or related field experience
  • Franchise system experience, specifically leading L&D inside a multi-unit franchise
  • 5+ years of experience developing and delivering scalable and effective training programs within a multi-unit retail or similar environment
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience owning LMS, certification design, field training, franchisee onboarding, ops manuals, and new studio opening readiness
  • Proven, attributable KPI impact on conversion, retention, profitability, or ramp metrics
  • Experience building with LLMs, AI tutors, and agents
  • Clinical and product fluency involving regulated services such as hormones, peptides, IV, and aesthetics
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing trainers and instructional designers
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and learning management systems (LMS) preferred
  • Health, wellness, medical, or aesthetic services background is a bonus
  • Experience standing up a learning platform from scratch is a bonus
  • Multi-state experience across regulated services is a bonus
  • Prior work training RNs or licensed clinical staff is a bonus
