Job Description

Senior HR Generalist overseeing and administering HR functions for Friends of the Earth. Coordinating benefits, compensation, compliance, and HR operations to support organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefits programs and lead annual benefits enrollment process
  • Oversee the organization’s retirement plan and manage plan administration
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle and conduct salary benchmarking
  • Manage workers’ compensation plan administration and assist with worker classification processes
  • Provide responsive and confidential HR operations support including co-managing the HR inbox
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of HR programs related to benefits administration, compensation practices, and compliance initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including direct experience in employee benefits administration, compensation processes, and compliance-related activities
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and judgement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Experience managing HRIS systems and ensuring data integrity
