Job Description
Senior Marketplace Manager to lead Amazon channel growth with full P&L responsibility. Executing aggressive strategies for category leadership and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Take full P&L responsibility for the Amazon channel — revenue, margin and profitability are in your hands
- Act as an entrepreneur within the company: you make decisions and are accountable for results; develop and execute an aggressive growth strategy to achieve category leadership
- Ensure flawless account health as the foundation for scalable growth
- Manage assortment, launches, pricing and promotions with the objective of category leadership and develop content (A+ Content, Premium A+ Content, Brand Stores) that not only looks great but converts and ranks
- Full-funnel strategy: from awareness to conversion, from new customer acquisition to retention, and scale advertising budgets with a clear focus on profitable market share gains
- Use AI not as a gimmick but as a strategic lever — for content creation, competitive analysis, automation and faster decision-making
- Orchestrate collaboration with Brand Management, Performance Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance and report to the Sales Director Online
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Amazon Seller Central management — ideally with a proven track record of scaling brands
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you understand P&L, margin and market share — not just clicks and impressions — and have experience developing and implementing growth strategies that win categories
- Deep expertise in Amazon Advertising (PPC & DSP) as a tool for gaining market share and a solid understanding of account health and operational excellence as the basis for scaling
- Experience with A+ Content, Premium A+ Content and Brand Story — content that performs
- Confident user of Helium 10, Excel, Looker Studio and AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) as daily work tools and an affinity for AI: you see artificial intelligence as a force multiplier, not a hype
- High degree of autonomy and ownership mentality — you don’t wait for instructions, you set them
- Excellent German and English skills and clear, persuasive communication
Benefits:
- Responsible, exciting and varied tasks with plenty of creative freedom in a dynamic company that embraces flat hierarchies and an open, relaxed working atmosphere with first-name addressing (German "Du")
- A friendly, open team of approx. 340 employees in Munich, Leipzig and Albourne (UK) with several friendly office dogs at our locations
- Flexible working hours (based on trust-based working time), home office options including a company contribution to your home office equipment and the possibility to work from abroad for several months
- 28 days’ vacation entitlement and the option to take up to 20 days unpaid leave as well as special leave
- Various internal and external development opportunities that you can choose independently according to your interests
- Various employee discounts — for people and pets!
- Regular team, company and family & friends events
- Relax in our social area equipped with a foosball table or challenge your colleagues on our cozy sofa area to a Mario Kart battle (or another Nintendo Switch game)
- Our office offers a high-quality, fully equipped kitchen where you can cook or bake great cakes
- Coffee, hot chocolate, tea and other cold soft drinks such as water and juices, as well as fresh fruit, light snacks and a well-stocked candy drawer are available free of charge
- Many more great benefits that we will be happy to introduce to you during the recruiting process
