Job Description
Senior People Generalist managing HR operations in a fully remote environment at VRChat, fostering innovative social VR experiences. Partnering with managers and team members across the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Be a day-to-day partner for managers across the company on people questions, team dynamics, and coaching needs
- Partner with the Head of People on employee relations across the team, with case-by-case judgment on who leads
- Coach managers and team members through tough conversations and the people matters that come up
- Own our core people processes end to end: onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, and HR systems
- Identify and implement workflow automations and AI tools that create real leverage and resolve problems across People functions
- Own internal communications across People programs, policy updates, and initiatives, and bring change management experience when processes shift
- Own the operational layer of our performance cycles: setup, timelines, and completion tracking
- Build manager enablement resources managers reach for and be the first call for day-to-day people questions
- Own employee engagement end to end: survey administration, data analysis, and surfacing what the data actually says
- Build and maintain people dashboards and trackers covering People data
- Produce insight-led summaries from data; help us understand what we are seeing, not just what the numbers say
- Lend a hand to Recruiting when needed on coordination and candidate experience
Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist, HRBP, or hybrid HRBP / People Ops role
- Sound judgment in employment law and employee relations fundamentals
- Comfort owning a People Ops stack
- Strong analytical skills, with fluency in spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Strong written communicator, comfortable building documentation that scales
- Hands-on, day-to-day experience using AI tools in your HR work
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple employment models and regions
- Fast and iterative; comfortable putting a v1 in front of stakeholders and improving from there
- Empathetic and decisive; thoughtful in how you weigh tradeoffs, confident in the call you land on
- Earns trust through follow-through
