Job Description

Senior People Partner shaping HR strategy for M-KOPA, a financial-inclusion fintech serving millions across Africa. Advising product, design, lending, fraud, and corporate-function leaders across multiple markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to product, design and digital lending leaders
  • Own the people agenda for fraud, workplaces, impact, and corporate communications and marketing across multiple markets and operating models
  • Contribute to team transformations, workforce planning, organisational design, and structural change
  • Develop people-management standards covering performance conversations, hiring, and development
  • Implement approaches to attract, develop, and retain product, design, and analytics talent
  • Use people analytics to turn data into insight and action with Centres of Excellence and clients
  • Manage employee-relations cases, partnering with the ER Centre of Excellence on complex matters
  • Reinforce M-KOPA's values through performance, development, feedback loops, and rituals
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead People Partner for Technology on the shared technology and product agenda

Requirements:

  • HR business partnering experience with senior leaders in a scaling technology, fintech or high-growth business, with portfolio ownership
  • Exposure to product, design, marketing or analytics teams, and understanding of how they are built, motivated and retained
  • Comfort moving between very different teams, such as design and fraud operations
  • Strategic and operational range
  • Experience supporting cross-cultural teams across multiple regions
  • Ability to use data, influence and judgement to advise leaders on trade-offs and risks
  • Confident handling employee relations matters across more than one jurisdiction
  • Europe/UK exposure is a plus, not a requirement
